On To The Next, Peace Out Minimalism!

It's been two weeks since I wrapped up my dabble in minimalism, and I've never enjoyed buying a bag of chips or eyeliner more. While it definitely helped me realize how much money I spend on unnecessary items, not spending any of the money I work for is just awful.

I officially went a full month without any fast food and just enjoyed Zaxbys, McDonalds and Chick-fil-a all within the past two days. However, I've decided that I actually like my own food more and the price of fast food isn't worth it, so I'm kicking the every day fast food diet. It's now Brittany's home cooking (a.k.a Prego marinara and box macaroni) and the occasional restaurant meal.

I love writing down something that I'm appreciative of every day; it's making me really happy, so I'm going to keep doing that. Having more in-depth, longer convos with God is too, so I'm also gonna keep annoying him with my random chats.

Minimalism is not for everyone, and I am one of those people. I learned a lot, but this adult is not about that life.

In other news, since the last time I posted, I haven't done anything too life changing.

Cinco de Mayo was so much fun. I met went on a bar crawl with my friends downtown. For the first time, I think ever, I switched to water half way through to make sure I paced myself. Helpful reminders from Jess throughout the day: THIS IS NOT A RACE! I also met a guy who seems pretty awesome. Not going to give too many details about this, it's yet to be determined if anything is actually going to come of it. But he is CUTE.

OMG - I almost forgot, had to go back and add this. We went to Deco the night of Cinco and I totally met Kathryn from Southern Charm. Yes, I know it's a reality show and blah blah blah, but I love it and I was totally fan-girling

I also went to a vow renewal ceremony for a couple who's like my second set of parents and it was so beautiful. I couldn't stop smiling, but I was out of breath the entire time because I had to run from the end of Folly Beach where the park is all the way to the pier because I'm an idiot and mixed up pier for park. I barely made it in time, but so glad that I did. It's so awesome to see two people really, truly in love with each other. I love when couples actually seem like best friends.

I've also re-watched all the episodes of The O.C., ate twenty bags of sour worms, found a new favorite rosé - Original Sin - and finally went to the beach for the first time this summer. I drank just a tad too much that day and got a little attitude with Jessica, maybe cried for a minute, but Jessica quickly reminded me that I was being loco. We ended the night with her watching Frozen and singing and me sleeping on her couch. Never made it paddle boarding. FAIL.

Lastly, I had to come up with something new to try and I figured with the summer right around the corner, I would start doing something outside everyday. So, I bought a bike and am going to try out different paths around the city -- I bought a cruiser so don't expect me going upstate and biking up any mountains. Baby steps. If anyone has any favorite trails, recommendations are appreciated!

I also wanted to try to take care of something other than myself, so I bought some seeds and a flower pot and am going to try to grow some flowers. I have no idea if I actually planted them right, but they're chilling in the pot with potting soil, some water and have already enjoyed a shit load of Kanye songs. I'm trying to have their confidence level through the roof.

Updates on the cute guy, bike rides and flowers to come. Catch ya later peeps.
